For the past 30 years marketers have justifiably focused squarely on the baby boomer population. The echo boomers, aka Generation Y, children of the baby boomers, have challenged marketers to connect with new and innovative methods. While echo boomers seem to reject outright advertising, they are not anti-consumer or anti-marketing. They have been exposed to more advertising messages than any other generation and reward brands that approach them authentically, connecting in unique and unexpected ways.
