Teresa Miller

Date: Thursday February 21, 2008
Time: 11:30AM
Location: Embassy Suites 3332 S. 79th East Avenue

Teresa Miller’s presentation “Writing Out Loud” will focus on the mission of the Center for Poets and Writers, which is to make literacy personal by putting faces with books. One of the ways the center accomplishes this is by introducing Oklahomans to authors through her television series, Writing Out Loud, which is entering its tenth season on OETA. She’ll highlight clips from the show which features some of the leading writers and celebrities of our time including Dave Barry, Frank McCourt, Earl Hamner, Doug Marlette, and Isabel Allende as well as actress Ronnie Claire Edward and Marsha Mason. Meeting attendees are certain to enjoy these informative clips and her unique spin on marketing to accomplish the center’s mission. Teresa Miller founded the Oklahoma Center for Poets and Writers in 1994. In addition to directing the center and producing the television interview programs she hosts, she teaches creative writing for Oklahoma State University and is also the author and publisher of several books.
