The October AMA luncheon will feature Ted Robertson, owner and founder of Robertson Tires. Robertson will share the secrets of his success including the marketing campaign that helped his company achieve its remarkable growth. Robertson purchased an existing tire company in 1962, which he opened with $2,500 in start-up capital with one bay and one employee. The company is now one of the top 100 tire retailers in the country with 12 locations and 114 employees. The Tulsa Metro Chamber of Commerce named Ted Robertson 1999 Small Business person of the Year, and in 2001 Oklahoma Business Weekly named Robertson Tire in the top 50 Fastest-Growing Businesses. He is now semi-retired, but continues to be active in numerous organizations including Tulsa Executives’ Association, an organization made up of CEO’s and Owners of local businesses. He is President of the Tulsa Chapter of International Fellowship of Christian Businessmen and is a member of their National Board of Directors.
