Sherri Coale is in her eleventh season as head coach of the University of Oklahoma women’s basketball team and is considered one of the top collegiate coaches in the nation. Coale turned a struggling OU women’s program into a national title contender in a short period of time. Her goals have always been to maximize the potential of her players and team on and off the court by encouraging excellence in the classroom and service in the community. The May meeting will offer a great opportunity to learn how to increase personal motivation, maximize potential and master the art of living. Sherri Coale is a native Oklahoman who played basketball for Oklahoma Christian University where she was an Academic All-American and graduated summa cum laude. She began her head coaching career at Norman High School where her team amassed a record of 147-40, including two state championships. After seven years of amazing success at the high school level, she accepted the top coaching position at OU. Sherri Coale has been recognized nationally for her achievements and has been named Big 12 Coach of the Year three times. A popular request for interviews and public speaking, her wit and charm led her to co-host the 2004 NCAA Woman of the Year awards televised on ESPN.
